A Touch of Dutch

Hello Friends!

If you are a sweet tooth enthusiast for unique and imported goodies, make sure to not miss out this little gem in the heart of Coupeville.

Located at 11 NW Frontstreet, just a short distance from the Wharf, this adorable shop is the ultimate destination for any sweet cravings you may have.

In addition to chocolates, you will be able to find a large variety of licorice, Dutch tiles and plates, wooden shoes and clogs, German foods and plenty of stroopwafels.

A Touch of Dutch was established in 1996, and Bastiaan & Janine Verhulst became the third owners in June 2016.

Bastiaan (Dutch) and Janine (American) met in 2004 while backpacking in Australia and since then moved quite a bit. They finally arrived in Whidbey Island, settled in, and opened up shop. And we couldn’t be any happier!

I love shopping in this store and so does my son. Traditional European chocolates and marzipan are a special treat to us.

Did you know you can also order specialties?

If there is something you really miss and love from your native country, make sure to check in with the owners and they may be able to order it for you.
